Annie's Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (M.E.) Story!
Annie developed chronic fatigue syndrome (M.E.) at 18 after a viral infection and spent her first year largely bedbound, with severe fatigue, headaches, brain fog, and other symptoms. Over the following years she improved meaningfully — progressing to short walks, seeing friends, and attending college — though she still deals with fatigue, post-exertional symptoms, rashes, and headaches. Her story shows that meaningful improvement can happen gradually over years even when recovery is still a work in progress.
