Michelle experienced a severe reaction to an antidepressant medication 11 years ago, which led to a series of debilitating symptoms, including depersonalization, derealization, panic, anxiety, and a movement disorder. She was misdiagnosed with various conditions, including serotonin syndrome and functional disorder, and experienced suicidal ideation. Michelle eventually found a diagnosis of POTS and dysautonomia, and began working with a program called DNRS to manage her symptoms. With time, patience, and determination, she started to experience improvement in her symptoms, including reduced hyperarousal and physical symptoms, and was able to taper off her medication.
