Nick’s Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Recovery Story

Nick developed chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms during a period of intense work stress, perfectionism, and life upheaval, experiencing fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, visual disturbances, and post-exertional crashes. After reading about how the brain can keep symptom signals active, he reinterpreted his symptoms as anxiety-driven rather than signs of damage, which rapidly improved his condition. Though he still has occasional symptoms and considers himself not fully 'officially' recovered, he now works out, plays golf, and does what he wants functionally. This is one person's account of a stress- and fear-based reframe, not a claim about what will work for anyone else.
