Severe Chronic Migraine and Facial Pain: Natalie’s Remarkable Recovery After Nothing Worked

Natalie experienced severe, debilitating head and facial pain starting around age 22–23 that no medical treatment could resolve, leaving her unable to function for about a year. After working with a mind-body approach centered on journaling about buried emotions, her pain gradually lifted and she returned to veterinary school, graduating near the top of her class. Her story shows that even after long, extreme suffering and many failed treatments, meaningful and complete relief is possible. She notes that occasional difficult days still occur, but they no longer control her life.
