Severe ME/CFS to Full Recovery: What Worked & What Didn't | Marla Menn
Marla Menn, a dancer and actress from Berlin, developed ME/CFS in 2019 after a vaccination series during a period of intense stress, becoming bedridden and unable to walk, read, or tolerate light at her worst. Through gradual activity, calming her nervous system, and rebuilding trust in her body, she returned to teaching dance in summer 2022 and, by the end of 2023, describes herself as fully recovered — dancing again and running her own studio. Her story shows that severe, frightening symptoms do not necessarily reflect permanent damage, and that recovery from ME/CFS is possible.
